GainWells (Ltd) announced today the launching of its new private equity fund (“the Fund”), set to begin closing transactions by the end of this year. The Fund consists of a private closed-ended mutual fund focusing on real estate investments across the Asia Pacific region. The launching of the funds marks a new phase in the growth of GainWells (Ltd) and will leverage its experience in the management consulting industry as it steadily manages and grows the fund.
“Asia has great potential not only as a source of capital but also for diversified real estate investments,”
said Amr Hamid, founder and CEO of GainWells (Ltd).
“Over the last few years, we’ve seen domestic investors become more active across many Asia Pacific real estate markets, spurred by strong in-country opportunities. Amid global economic uncertainty, there is a strong emphasis on real estate investments that are soaking up what would have been un-invested capital. We feel very confident in our ability to take advantage of these trends to produce superior risk-adjusted returns”
The Fund aims to deliver a portfolio of real estate projects with minimal risk profiles and competitive returns that are both scalable and sustainable. This means looking at not only traditional residential real estate projects, but also niche assets such as hospitality or commercial properties across the region.
“We have an extensive industry-wide network of relationships that we are using to source for best real estate investing opportunities,” said Amr. “All potential investments are put through a rigorous due diligence process by which we assess all aspects of any deal including market, legal and financial feasibility studies, as well investment life-cycle risk.”
